When I became a Facebook user, I only accepted friend requests from people I knew. I wasn’t thinking of it as a tool for networking, but rather a way to connect to, reconnect, and stay connected to family and friends. I hadn’t yet thought of Facebook and Twitter as power-tools for making the caliber of professional connections I needed to help grow my business.
